1) Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars
2) Genre: YA Dystopia
3) Synopsis: June and Day are two different sides of the same coin. Both smart and brilliant but one working for the Republic and the military with the other living on the streets and causing havoc. When Day is accused of killing June’s brother the two will be pitted against each other.
4) Feelings: This was interestingly written. It is written in first person from Day and June’s point of view. Every other chapter is in a different font from the one of the two main characters point of view. The story weaves between the two points of view. Maybe dystopian society isn’t as appealing to me as it once was. The big evil government versus the little person didn’t appeal to me as much as it normally does. It was interesting but not riveting.
5) Final recommendation: I liked it and I thought the way it was written in a very interesting way. I liked the main characters and their interaction but for some reason the story just didn’t grip me like I wanted it to.
