May 12th is a big day. Well maybe not for you but it is for me. Why you may ask? Because it is the day I was married to my lovely wife. This last May 12th was our five year anniversary. I know I have been off the market for 5 years. Hard to believe. Time flies when you are married to a wonderful woman.
Now the big question. What gift do I get to show my love? We decided to get a Traditional anniversary gift. What is the traditional gift for the 5th year? Wood.

Jen helped me get the colors and design just how I wanted. Not only was the price perfect but she got it to me super fast. Now that I have the perfect gift I feel no pressure but my wife still found a way to show me up. Look at our gifts.
That is right she got me a wooden tie. How cool is that? Wonder what she is going to get me for our 10 year. Tin/Aluminum?

those are super cool gifts. We want to see a photo of you wearing the tie too! In Wales, it’s a tradition to give wooden love spoons on St. Dwynwen’s day. Bit late now suggesting it, but we didn’t know the theme 🙂 Congratulations both of you. Hope the next five years are as good. And can we suggest a foil hat for the 10th anniversary?

I wore the wooden tie to church yesterday. Guess I should have taken a photo. I have to admit a foil hat was my first idea. There has to be some cool ones out there for the stylish but crazy people right?
