What are the odds that one headlight in each car goes out at the same time? They have to be crazy odds I would think but amazingly enough I had to replace two headlights but not on the same car.
I know you picture me as super macho but I am not a car guy. I don’t automatically know how to fix certain things. So what is a macho guy to do? Ask for help? No!! That isn’t macho at all. Macho guys don’t ask for directions. You look to YouTube.
It is amazing the amount of videos out there on YouTube. Not only that but some of them are helpful. Certainly more helpful than the owners manual. My owners manual told me to (after I was at a certain point) to just pull the headlight bulb straight out. Easy right? Wrong.
I was tugging on that trying to get it straight out. Maybe it helps to know what the actual part looks like. Guess I could have got the part earlier but that’s not how it worked.
Still thanks to YouTube I got it figured out and replaced both bulbs. Not by myself though. I had help. I had the help (maybe stretching the word help a bit) of my cute daughter. See her tiger flashlight in the above picture. She would need a new tool every 20 seconds or so. Still have to keep encouraging her to get her hands dirty right?? Maybe she will be fixing my car in the future!!
