For Valentines day I had to stop by the Library to drop off a few books that were due when I saw this. A shelf of books wrapped in a brown paper bag with nothing but the genre on it. A blind date with a book.
I remember hearing about this idea and thought it was awesome. A mystery book selected by the Librarian with nothing but the genre to guide you. As cool as it sounds I didn’t think it would ever get all the way to the library in my little town. I was wrong.
When I saw shelves of mystery books at the library I was super excited at the chance to take part. Who is my date?? Drum Roll.
Not bad looking for a blind date right?? If this sounds interesting to you check out your library. Or even ask a friend to hook you up with a blind date. How about a book blind date party? Everyone brings a wrapped book that they like and share t with someone at the party. Sounds fun right. Well if you are a reader.

That is a really good idea. Too bad I don’t have many “bookie” friends. A party sounds like fun. Maybe I need new friends…Also, curious to how you like the book.

I don’t have enough bookie friends to do it either. Plus then I would stress about which book to wrap up.
I am about 2/3 of the way through it. It has been okay but I think if it wasn’t for this Blind Date thing I would have given up on it.
